PORCELANOSA Group goes digital to achieve a sustainable business transformation

Porcelanosa has promoted the digitalisation of its showrooms and factories to reduce paper consumption and improve the experience for the customer at its points of sale.

Committed to responsible consumption, PORCELANOSA Group launches a series of measures that move its production and sales experience towards digital transformation and technological innovation. These actions are part of the company’s Eco Conscious sustainable programme, which involves actions such as waste recycling, sustainable water management, CO2 reduction and energy savings.

The Group’s firms have opted for a circular model that allows for more efficient and environmentally friendly management. The aim is to minimise the consumption of paper generated by printing physical catalogues and producing technical reports– and to reduce CO2 emissions produced by visits to the showrooms.

Showrooms with material readers and informative iPads

Porcelanosa’s firm commitment to digitalising its facilities has been to design a system that identifies ceramic pieces intuitively without the use of cardboard signage or disposable paper.  In addition, each space has been equipped with iPads to inform customers of the materials used and the details of each collection (colours, formats, decorative textures, etc.). The firm completes its digitalisation with the room configurator and the moodboards application that serve as online inspiration tools. They are available on its website.

Virtual visits without leaving the house

Porcelanosa has included a space configurator on its new website, which allows users to visualise their project and helps them in their decision-making. With this aim in mind, the firm also presents an online archive where all the catalogues from its latest collections can be found.

In addition, its Lifestyle Magazine has encouraged its readers to explore digital platforms to discover the latest news. It is worth remember here that this publication is dedicated to inspiring articles about architecture, interior design, design icons, culture, travel and leisure.

Similarly, Urbatek has also opted for digital catalogues and virtual experiences. These allow the user to take a virtual tour of the facilities to intuitively discover all there is to know about XTONE materials.
